How do I book?
Send an enquiry with your dates and who’s coming. We reply with availability and a price. You can also find the caravan on Booking.com.
How many people does it sleep?
Up to seven: an extra-large double, two twin rooms and a sofa bed.
When can we arrive?
Check-in is from 4pm. Most guests arrive on a Friday or a Monday.
Is it open in winter?
Yes. The caravan and the park are open all year.
Is there parking?
Yes, free private parking at the caravan. Most guests leave the car there and walk into Bowness.
How good is the Wi-Fi?
Honestly, patchy. The park says connectivity can vary, and guests have found streaming unreliable. There is live TV. Don’t plan on video calls.
Can we bring the dog?
Please ask before you book.
Is it suitable for wheelchair users?
There are steps up to the caravan and the park has some hilly ground, so it is not step-free. Ask us about your needs before you book.
Can we have a party or a celebration?
No. There are no parties or events at the caravan, and no hen, stag or similar groups. Bowness has plenty going on a few minutes’ walk away.
Do children need anything?
Children of any age are welcome. Cots and extra beds aren’t available, so bring a travel cot if you need one.
Is there a deposit?
Yes, a refundable damage deposit of up to £100, returned after check-out.
Can we smoke?
Not in the caravan.
Are the bedrooms big?
The main bedroom has an extra-large double. The two twin rooms are compact, as they are in most holiday caravans.
Is this a Parkdean booking?
No. The caravan is privately owned and you book with us.
Can we use the park’s facilities?
Ask us when you enquire.
How far is the lake?
The park has its own access to the water’s edge, and the cruise boats leave from Bowness Pier, about seven or eight minutes’ walk from the park gate.
